I don’t know when it started, but if ever you needed confirmation that the financial hurt being felt at present is real.. just think on this.. One in three families are using handouts to feed themselves.
Growing up after WW2 I remember that we didn’t have much, but always food on the table, same with the ensuing recessions etc over intervening years..Now more than ever I am wondering what happened to my country, the lucky country.. at present it is lucky to have food it seems. So while bureaucrats and politicians feather their nests, while we dont bother to collect taxes from multinationals, because we may upset them, while we are busy cutting services for the aged and infirm, there are the Gina Reinhardt’s of this world that obviously have too much.. but we lack the balls to actually take any of their cash, in case they mount a pre election ad campaign against us.. What the F**k is Albo thinking or maybe not thinking.. people who live with all the privileges are the ones who for their own reasons choose not to see the plight of others.. Here is a suggestion, instead of cutting the NDIS, how about collecting windfall taxes, making multinationals pay, and dare I say even cutting politicians salaries and perks.. Obviously they all fall in the too hard basket, so we will just keep slugging beer cigarettes and anything else that wont upset their masters in the boardrooms of America.
